PDFs are the standard format for anything official — applications, contracts, tax filings, reports. But real-world documents rarely stay in one neat file: you end up with five separate scans that need to become one packet, or one long PDF where you only need to send page 12. Here's how to handle both without installing anything.
Merging is the most-searched PDF task online, and for good reason — almost everyone eventually needs to combine a resume with a cover letter, or stitch together several scanned pages into one submission.
Because pages are copied directly from the source files rather than re-rendered, formatting, fonts, and image quality stay identical to the originals.
Splitting goes the other direction — useful when you have one long document but only need part of it, or need to distribute individual pages separately (for example, separating a batch-scanned stack of invoices into one file per invoice).
If the resulting file is still too large to send, run it through the Compress PDF tool afterward to shrink it further before emailing or uploading.
